On 8 June 2022 the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (Kasa Rolniczego Ubezpieczenia Społecznego – KRUS) inaugurated the 4th National Competition for Young People “My Vision Zero”, which this year will be carried out under the slogan Safety, Health and Wellbeing of a Family on the Farm.
The competition is held within the framework of the international Vision Zero strategy, whose main objective is to eliminate occupational accidents and diseases, which is linked to the creation of better working conditions and improvement of farmers’ health.
KRUS has been actively conducting preventive actions regarding work safety in agricultural holdings for more than 30 years; popularisation of the Strategy emphasises the importance of these actions and makes it possible to reach an even larger group of farmers with the preventive message.
In his year’s competition a special attention is drawn to the functioning of a family on a farm in relation to the 7 Golden Rules of the Vision Zero strategy. The competition is dedicated to the young people aged 13 to 21 and the task is to prepare a short film promoting safe behavior in agriculture, with particular emphasis on the role of the farmer family in shaping the principles of life and health protection in the countryside.
The 4th National Competition for Young People “My Vision Zero – Safety, Health and Family Wellbeing of a Family a Farm” is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Henryk Kowalczyk.
